I did not enjoy this book. The first two thirds were mostly taken up with Andy’s self-pity and wallowing. Andy is a comedian, who is supposed to be both funny and charming, yet all I could think was how are we meant to believe an intelligent and successful woman would stay with him for four years? The last third of the book was much better and more interesting, but I was only motivated to get to it because I am struggling with a loved one in the hospital,

Oh my gosh! I was pacing around my house and couldn’t stop listening to the audiobook! 5 star read!

Didn't care for the present tense narration, but it has beautiful illustrations and is informative and has a good story for young children without being technical

Beautifully moving story, especially for those of religious faith. Tells of how to accept people for who they are, even when war has changed them, and how the questions we ask of ourselves through life need to change based on our experiences.

Great read!

Great book for teachers and parents. It is essential for kids to fall/fail and pick themselves back up! When kids constantly have a safety net under them they lose out on valuable learning opportunities that will help them get through tough situations in adulthood.

I absolutely love this author. Her characters are very well developed. In this particular book, there is also a very suspenseful situation that makes it hard to put down.
