Kids Color Our World

June 9 - August 9

This program is designed for kids aged 0 to 12 to encourage lifelong reading habits. Track the time you read (1 minute = 1 point), complete missions, and write book reviews to earn points towards brag tags and prizes. Once you've earned 750 points, you'll receive a completion certificate you can print and share! All prizes are local pick-up only and generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Sign-up prize pick up begins June 7th.

Teen Color Our World

Welcome to SDL's Teen Summer Reading Program!

You have two options for reading and getting prizes this year.

Timed Reading: 1 minute equals 1 point

By the Book: 1 book equals 100 points

Earn prizes when you hit 100, 500, and 1000 points.

Each prize point gains an entry into the grand prize drawing.

We will also have weekly drawings for participants who have logged in the prior week.

Grand prize drawing will be held on August 11!

All prizes are local pick-up only and generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Adult Color Our World

This program is designed for adults to encourage lifelong reading habits.

The rules are simple: read five books, get a prize!

Each book you read is worth 100 points, and you get a prize and an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing for every 500 points you earn!

You can receive a total of four prizes. Reading more? You'll still be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing.

You can read physical books, e-Books and listen to audiobooks. Are you a magazine reader?

Three magazines count as one book!

All prizes are local pick-up only and generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

1,000 Books [PreK]

This program encourages families to read 1,000 books with their children before they enter kindergarten. For every 100 books read, the child will receive a prize book. Upon completion of 1,000 books an additional prize will be awarded. Local pick-up only for all prizes. Thank you to the Friends of the Library for supporting this program.
